About Internet Config
I strongly recommend that you install the Internet Config extension. If correctly configured, Internet Config enables Big Brother to open links using your preferred World Wide Web browser. Big Brother can also use Internet Config 1.3 or later to determine your proxy settings.
Internet Config is not bundled with Big Brother, because doing so would increase the package size, and also because most users
are likely to have obtained it separately already. If you do not have Internet Config yet, read on.
Where to obtain Internet Config?

Each new release of Internet Config is posted to MacGifts and is therefore available from Info-Mac and UMich (and their mirror
sites). It is also available from any site that holds Peter Lewis' software, namely
AOL,
AMUG,
PopCo,
Australia,
Japan, and
Switzerland.
All sorts of IC related material, including the latest version of the IC software, is available from the IC home sites in
Australia and the
USA.
Internet Config was written by Australians and is localized for Australia. Localized versions are available for
US,
French and
German
users.
Configuring Internet Config
Configuring Internet Config for use with Big Brother is easy. Big Brother uses only a few entries out of Internet Config's large array of settings.
Launch the Internet Config application. A window containing a series of icons appears. Click the icon labeled "Helpers"; this
reveals a window containing a list of mappings. These mappings are used to determine which applications should be used to
open the various kinds of URLs.
Big Brother expects mappings to be defined for "http", "https" and "file" URLs. To define a mapping, click "Add" or "Change", and use the "Choose Helper..." button to select your favorite WWW browser. Internet Config's default settings contain an entry for "http". If necessary, Big Brother uses it to create "https" and "file" entries automatically.
If you access the Word Wide Web through a proxy, you should click Internet Config's "Firewalls" icon (it is available only with Internet Config 1.3 or later) and enter the required data. You can then tell Big Brother to mirror Internet Config's proxy settings by using the Proxy panel of Big Brother's Settings dialog.
